Bocce

The Italian American League Members have been playing bocce since the founding of the club in 1934. Early members played in backyards in Alameda.  In 1995, Alameda Park and Recreation Department partnered with the Italian American League to re-build the old bocce courts at Lincoln Park.  Recently, in 2023, the bocce enclosures were redone with help from the Alameda Friends of the Parks Foundation and the Recreation and Parks Department.   The bocce courts are dedicated to the late John Ratto, an IAL member and bocce enthusiast.

Our annual bocce tournament has returned!  Join us for a day on the courts!  Games start at 9:00 AM.
